Another Great Reason to LOVE South Texas . . . .

From September 21st at about 7pm; Blue skies, 92 degrees, and a gentle southerly breeze. It's just . . . . Magical. And this on the first day of autumn!
I'm in the process of looking for another job.
Yes, yes, I know . . . (sigh). That'll be three jobs this year.
It's of my own volition, but I feel fairly justified in the move. One of the (male, married) physicians gave one of the (female, unmarried) Medical Assistants an eight inch long black dildo for her birthday yesterday.
Yes, I said Dildo.
Let's just put aside for a minute that an employer has no business EVER giving an employee any kind of sex toy, whether as a birthday present seriously or (pardon the pun) fallaciously. Let's ignore the fact that no 40-year-old married man has any business whatsoever giving his single, twenty something employee any type of suggestive gift. Let's even ignore the fact he's very well-connected in his church and social settings.
The worst part is that a patient overheard the girls talking about it from her exam room and was outraged -- and left furious. The ca-ca should well and truly hit the fan next week.
Now, I don't think I'm a prude by anyone's estimation. In fact, some might say I even dance too close to line sometimes with my estimation of what's acceptable and what's not. But even I find this a wholly inappropriate, vulgar, base, disgusting, crude gift that had no business being anywhere near a business office. Do it on your own time; throw her a party; get her drunk somewhere and give her that gift if you want -- but NOT-in-a-place-of-business.
And, dear God in Heaven, NOT where the patients can hear you!!!
So . . . I'm looking for a new job. You understand.
