"Buc-ees, Oh Buc-ees, He's our little Beaver Friend!!!!"

Sometimes, in fact MOST times, south Texas is the most beautiful place in the civilized world. Green verdant plains abut desert highlands with a lush variety of wildlife and climactic settings. The warm, gentle breezes feel like silk caressing your skin in the heat of a luscious red sunset evening. The juxtaposed meeting points of differing cultures from American South to Mexican Norte to 18th century German to traditional Central American Catholic makes for a fascinating jumble to tastes, artistic styles, architectures, and holidays Id never dreamed of before venturing south of the greater Chicagoland Area.

And then there's the times it's just plain Weird with a capital "W" -- but the best kind of Weird, as in "unusual, significant, different, and outstanding from the crowd." Case in Point: Buc-ees Travel Stop, Souvenir Store, and Eatery. Texas Eats and Texas Treats; Fabulous Bathrooms, and a brand-name Beaver that just won't quit.
